Dr. Carrie Davis Honored with AADA Advocacy Award

The American Academy of Dermatology Association (AADA) has named ISMA District 2 Alternate Trustee Carrie L. Davis, MD, its 2023 Advocate of the Year, citing her commitment to grassroots advocacy at the federal, state, and local levels, as well as her leadership of the Congressional Policy Committee.

During last year’s session of the Indiana General Assembly, Dr. Davis’ advocacy was instrumental in securing passage of a “truth in advertising” law that reserves a number of medical specialty titles for use only by physicians. Dr. Davis also emceed the 2022 AADA Legislative Conference. She will be recognized formally at the AADA Annual Meeting in New Orleans on March 16.
