An excellent opportunity to meet with physicians in your area, hear from ISMA staff, and enjoy cocktails, dinner, and presentations before local elections. Members are encouraged to invite non-member physicians as their guests.

We’re happy to inform you that the 2025 ISMA District 2 Annual Meeting and election will be held in person on Thursday, May 22. ISMA District 2 includes the following counties: Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, Monroe, Owen, and Sullivan. We look forward to gathering with colleagues and friends and hearing from ISMA staff about issues and legislation affecting physicians and patients!

Date: Thursday, May 22, 2025
Time: 6:30 p.m. ET cocktails; 7 p.m. ET dinner and remarks, followed by elections.
Where: Monroe Convention Center, 302 S. College Ave., Bloomington, IN 47404

There is no cost to attend this meeting. ISMA members are encouraged to invite a nonmember physician colleague as their guest. The evening will include nominations and elections for the office of ISMA District 2 alternate trustee. All nominations and voting will occur at the in-person meeting.

Election information

Please read the information below carefully. It includes:

  • A list of current office holders in your district, their duties and whether they are eligible for re-election this year.
  • Instructions for nominating yourself or someone else for district office.

Eligibility for district office:

You may nominate yourself or another physician for district office. Nominees must be current members of ISMA in the district for which they are being nominated, and trustees and alternate trustees must have been ISMA members for the preceding two years. ISMA staff will confirm that nominees are eligible and willing to run for office.

Please note: If you would like to run for office but cannot attend the meeting, you must arrange for someone at the meeting to nominate you.

The following are descriptions of the elected offices of each district, your current officeholders and their election status this year:

District President:

Serves as an ambassador to help increase local awareness about ISMA; serves as a liaison to ISMA and provides local information; helps identify physicians for various opportunities and leadership roles; assists ISMA staff in planning annual district meeting and presiding over the district business meeting.

Current officeholder: Jacqueline Trueblood, MD; two-year term ends in 2026.

District Trustee:

Serves as an ambassador to increase local awareness about ISMA; serves as a liaison to ISMA and provides local information; helps identify physicians for various opportunities and leadership roles; represents the district as a voting member of the ISMA Board of Trustees (the ISMA executive body), which meets quarterly at ISMA headquarters; represents the district as a voting member of the House of Delegates (the ISMA policy-making body), which meets during the ISMA annual convention each fall.

Current officeholder: Jane Bridges, MD; second three-year term ends in 2026.

District Alternate Trustee:

Serves as an ambassador to increase local awareness about ISMA; serves as a liaison to ISMA and provides local information; helps identify physicians for various opportunities and leadership roles; represents the district as a non-voting member of the ISMA Board of Trustees and votes in place of the trustee when the trustee is not in attendance; represents the district as a non-voting member of the House of Delegates and votes in place of the trustee when the trustee is not in attendance.

Current officeholder: Carrie Davis, MD; first three-year term ends in 2025. Eligible for re-election.
