ISMA Resolution Submission Deadline: June 29
A healthcare professional is typing on a laptop in a bright office setting, with a stethoscope in the foreground representing the ISMA Resolution Submission process.

Make your voice heard. The ISMA resolution submission deadline is fast approaching. Physicians have until Saturday, June 29, 2025, to submit resolutions for consideration at the 2025 ISMA House of Delegates. Resolutions are due 90 days prior to the ISMA Annual Convention, which will be held September 26–28, 2025, in Noblesville, Indiana.

Drafting a resolution is your opportunity to influence the direction of medical policy in Indiana. Whether you’re advocating for improvements in patient care, public health, or physician practice environments, submitting a resolution ensures your voice is part of the discussion.

To guide physicians through the process, ISMA Policy Director Doug Boyle appeared on the latest episode of The Clinic. In this helpful episode, he outlines how to draft a strong, actionable resolution—from identifying a problem to clearly stating the desired outcome.

Why ISMA Resolution Submissions Matter

Submitting a resolution is one of the most impactful ways physicians can participate in shaping the future of healthcare in Indiana. Every resolution adopted by the House of Delegates becomes part of ISMA’s official policy platform, guiding its advocacy efforts at the state and national levels.

These policies influence everything from public health initiatives and insurance reform to regulatory processes, reimbursement models, and physician autonomy. By submitting a resolution, you are not only voicing your concerns—you’re contributing to meaningful, systemic change that affects physicians, patients, and the broader healthcare community.

Past resolutions have led to advancements in telehealth policy, improvements in opioid prescribing guidelines, greater protections for physician wellness, and streamlined licensure requirements. Even local or specialty-specific concerns can gain traction and drive statewide initiatives when brought forward through this process.

Whether you’re addressing an issue within your specialty or calling attention to a broader health policy matter, your resolution has the potential to make a lasting impact. The more physicians who participate, the stronger and more representative ISMA’s platform becomes.
